2008 Mommy and Me Learn to Swim Brochure
Try out our summer programs for kids!
Summertime means swimming, and at Mt. Tam, we have a great Learn to Swim and Mommy (Daddy) & Me program to help your child with their swimming skills. In the Learn to Swim program, we offer weekly (Monday-Friday) swim lessons, 3 kids in a group for a half an hour. You must be 4 to participate. We teach many levels from minnows to great white sharks! Our swim teachers are the best! Hannah Davison is returning for her 5th summer of teaching the Learn to Swim. She is a former Tidal Waves and Redwood High School competitive swimmer, loves kids and is about to graduate from Chico State. Kassandra Arko, a former Redwood High swimmer and water polo player who will be entering her junior Year at University of Miami in Ohio will also be teaching. Zoe Jarocki, former lifeguard and swim teacher at Mt. Tam is back to teach for the summer before she starts grad school in the fall. So if you’re looking for a good swim program, you've found it at Mt. Tam!
Learn to Swim Program
We meet Monday through Friday, weekly sessions, to teach your child swimming skills. The Minnows are tentative swimmers, the Seahorses are moving through the water a little and the Sharks are swimmers ready to learn stroke technique. Something for everyone, as long as your child is four.
For the little ones 6 months thru 3 years old, join one of our Mommy (Daddy) & Me classes that are offered throughout the summer. This summer some sessions offer a beginning and advanced group. The brochures for both of these programs are by the Front Desk.
Call Tish to reserve your space at 924-6226 X55. Please include your child’s name, age and previous swimming experience.
The Multi-Sport Kids Camp
This makes 10 years for the Multi-Sport Kids Camp! Camps will be held the weeks of June 23rd, July 7th, July 21st, August 4th and August 11th. The kids enjoy the morning by the outdoor pool, doing crafts, playing pool games, taking a swim lesson and then having lunch. Then they are off to tennis, usually in the indoor courts, with Steve Summer and his staff. The campers take a little snack break in the cafe and then they are off again, this time to the basketball court for all sorts of ball games.
To plan your time at the club for the five weeks that the camp is in session, please note the times the camp has reserved various areas of the club. The outdoor pool will be reserved for the camp from 10:30-11:30 and the basketball court will be reserved from 12:30-4 on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. On Wednesday and Thursday, the camp reserves the basketball court from 12:30-2:30. The indoor tennis courts #12 & #13 are used by the camp from 12:30-2:30 Monday through Friday and on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:50-4:00
